Even as a young girl, growing up in Germany in the 1970s, I always had a passion for drawing and painting, which I have carried with me throughout my life. However, despite my love of art, I decided to pursue a career in medicine and qualified as a doctor.Nevertheless, my career as a doctor has not stopped me from developing my artistic style. I have continued to develop my art, experimenting with different techniques and material – particularly guache and acrylic colour on paper and canvas.

While I currently live in Berlin, my work has allowed me to live all over the world including Nicaragua, the UK, Switzerland, Austria, the Solomon Islands, Zambia as well as South Africa. My travels and contact with different cultures and materials have been a significant influence on my work and I continue to experiment with new styles and approaches.
